Education and Early Career
Gisèle Goldstein earned her PhD degree in 1986. She studied at Tulane University. Her main teacher for this advanced degree was Jerome Goldstein. Her big research project was called Mathematical Contributions to Thomas-Fermi Theory. This project showed how math can help us understand complex ideas.
