Gladiator Academy (Spanish: Academia de Gladiadores) is a fun animated TV show for kids. It was created by Claudio Biern Boyd, who also made The World of David the Gnome. The show first aired in Spain on Telecinco in 2002. It was a team effort between Telecinco and Boyd's company, BRB Internacional.

Later, in 2013, you could watch Gladiator Academy on Mediaset Spain's MiteleKids website. In North America, the show was added to Toon Goggles, a special service for kids' videos. Other countries like Italy, Israel, and Turkey also picked up the series.

What is Gladiator Academy About?

The story of Gladiator Academy takes place on a sunny island called Cornucopia. This island is in the Mediterranean Sea, back when the Roman Empire was very powerful. The show follows a group of four brave young gladiators.

These gladiators work in the island's Colosseum, a big arena where ancient Romans watched shows. Their main job is to protect Cornucopia from silly villains. They go on exciting adventures and learn important lessons along the way.

Meet the Gladiator Academy Characters

The show features a main group of young gladiators, each with their own special skills and personalities.

Main Gladiator Heroes

  • Fracas: He is the leader of the gladiator group. Fracas is strong and good-looking, but he cares a lot about how he looks.
  • Arena: This gladiator is a strong and quick girl with bright red hair. She is smart and clever, but sometimes she acts without thinking.
  • Rumpus: Rumpus is a very kind and big gladiator. He is so strong he can lift heavy rocks with just one hand! He is not the quickest thinker, though.
  • Hocus: Hocus is the shortest member of the group. He is very good at coming up with smart plans and logical ideas.

Other Important Characters
