Gladstone, Ohio facts for kids

Gladstone is a small, unincorporated community. It is located in Greene County, in the state of Ohio, USA. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a town does.

History of Gladstone

Gladstone was never officially planned out on a map. This is called being "platted." Many towns are carefully designed with streets and lots before people move there. Gladstone was more like a small settlement that grew on its own.

Even though it wasn't a big town, Gladstone did have a post office! This post office was opened in 1886. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. The post office stayed open until 1904. After that, it closed down.
