How Glenn Got Its Name
The community of Glenn has a bit of history tied to its name. A post office was opened there in 1901. A post office is a place where people can send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years, but it eventually closed down in 1933. The name "Glenn" comes from a person named Glenn Hess. He was the son of one of the very first families to settle in that area. So, the community was named to honor him and his family's early presence there.
