The community of Glory got its start a long time ago. A post office was opened there in 1881, which was an important way for people to send and receive mail back then. This post office served the community for many years until it closed down in 1915. The early settlers who lived in this area chose the name "Glory" because they felt very hopeful and optimistic about the future of their new home.
