Imagine an elephant walking right through the set during a live news report! Rosemary and others had to chase after it.

Discovering Good Morning with Rosemary

Rosemary Eather was well-known for her big, friendly smile. She brought lots of joy to her viewers every morning. Kids loved watching her show.

Show Schedule and Popularity

The show aired from Monday to Friday mornings. It ran for two hours, from 7 AM to 9 AM. Good Morning with Rosemary was a huge hit! It was the "Most Popular Show" in its time slot.

Behind the Scenes Fun

In 1969, a nineteen-year-old stagehand named Peter Rowan joined the team. He helped Rosemary on the studio floor. Other staff worked in the control room. Newsreaders like Warwick Rankin and Jeremy Cordeaux would pop into the studio. They gave quick news updates for parents watching with their children.

Peter Rowan had a great idea for the show. He gave Rosemary a list of about 120 educational topics. These subjects were interesting for kids and easy to present. Rosemary, who was a qualified geography teacher, loved the idea!

The TV station bosses were impressed too. They made Peter a co-producer of the program. When he wasn't in the studio, Peter found and organized content. Rosemary would then present this content on the show. After about nine months, Peter moved on to work with the station's film unit.

The Show Changes Name

In 1971, the show changed its name. It became Breakfast-a-Go-Go. This new name was similar to a show on a sister station in Melbourne. That show was called Fredd Bear's Breakfast-A-Go-Go.

Sue Smith took over as the new host. She had a funny new sidekick named Witless Wonder. This character was played by actor Ron Blanchard. Witless Wonder replaced Warwick Rankin. Warwick Rankin moved on to host his own children's show, Commander Strongarm.
