Goodland is a small place located in Knox County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town would.
The Story of Goodland
Goodland got its name from an early settler, someone who was among the first people to live in that area. For a while, Goodland even had its own post office! This post office opened in 1854. It was an important place where people could send and receive letters and packages. However, the post office closed down in 1873, about 19 years after it first opened.
