Grete Paia is a talented singer and songwriter from Estonia. She was born on August 27, 1995. Many people know her from Eesti Laul. This is Estonia's national competition to choose a song for the famous Eurovision Song Contest.

About Grete's Early Life
Grete Paia was born in Estonia on August 27, 1995. She grew up and went to school in a town called Kuressaare. She finished her studies at Kuressaare Gymnasium.
Her Singing Career
Grete Paia started her music journey in 2011. She quickly became known for her unique voice.
Eesti Laul 2013
In 2013, Grete got a big chance. She was chosen as one of the twenty finalists for Eesti Laul 2013. Her song was called "Päästke noored hinged," which means "Save the souls of the young."
She sang her song in the first semi-final. The judges didn't pick her to go to the final. However, the public loved her song! She got the most votes from the audience. This meant she could still go to the final round.
In the final, Grete performed her song again. The public voted for her the most, making her one of the top two. She then competed in the "superfinal" against another singer, Birgit Õigemeel. Grete came in second place, which was a fantastic achievement!
Eesti Laul 2016
Grete returned to Eesti Laul in 2016. Her new song was titled "Stories Untold." She made it to the final again. In the end, she finished in 7th place.
Eesti Laul 2019
Grete Paia tried again in Eesti Laul 2019. Her song was "Kui isegi kaotan." This time, her song did not make it to the final round.
Eesti Laul 2022
In 2022, Grete Paia competed in Eesti Laul 2022 as a featured artist. She sang a duet with Andrei Zevakin. Their song was called "Mis nüüd saab."
