Griffin Bay State Park facts for kids
Griffin Bay State Park was a special place in San Juan County, Washington. It used to be a marine park, which means it was on the coast and connected to the ocean. This park had two places where people could go camp overnight. It was part of the Washington State Parks.
The park covered about 15 acres (that's like 11 football fields!) and had 340 feet of saltwater shoreline. It was also a part of the Cascadia Marine Trail. This trail is a water route for people using boats powered by humans or wind, like kayaks, canoes, or sailboats. Because of this, only visitors arriving by these types of boats could use the campsites.
Even though the state parks department still owned the land in 2014, Griffin Bay State Park is no longer listed on the official state parks website.
