Gunnar Sandgren (born June 27, 1929 – died November 4, 2016) was a talented writer from Sweden. He worked as a journalist, wrote many novels, and created plays for the stage.
About Gunnar Sandgren
Gunnar Ernst Algot Sandgren was born in a place called Ölmstad parish in Jönköping County, Sweden. His parents were Ernst Sandgren and Signhild Nilsson.
He started his career as a journalist in 1952. He wrote for a newspaper called Svenska Dagbladet.
His Writing Career
Gunnar Sandgren began his writing journey in 1960. His first novel was named Förklaringsberget. After that, he wrote many books about history. A publishing company called Bonniers helped share his stories for three decades.
In the 1970s, Gunnar worked at Sveriges Television, which is a TV station. There, he wrote several plays for television. Later, he started writing plays for traditional theaters. Many of his plays became quite popular.
In 1981, Gunnar Sandgren received a special award called the Dobloug Prize. This prize recognized his great writing.
