About Guy Parker-Rees
Guy Parker-Rees went to the University of York where he studied literature and philosophy. Today, he lives in Brighton, England, with his family.
Before he started writing and illustrating children's books, Guy helped people through art. He was an art teacher for people with learning difficulties. He also worked as an art therapist, using art to help people feel better.
Guy Parker-Rees is known for both writing his own books and drawing pictures for other authors. One famous writer he has illustrated for is Giles Andreae. Guy's illustrations are very popular. Between July 2015 and June 2016, he was one of the top fifty most-borrowed illustrators in public libraries across the United Kingdom.
