The Hacienda Hotel is a very old and important building in New Port Richey, Florida. You can find it at 5621 Main Street. This special hotel was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on October 24, 1996. This means it is recognized as a place with a lot of history.

Saving the Hacienda Hotel
For many years, the Hacienda Hotel needed a lot of repairs. The City of New Port Richey bought the hotel to help save it. They wanted to find someone who could fix it up and make it beautiful again.
It was a challenge to find the right person or group to restore the hotel. The building was slowly falling apart. But thankfully, people became interested in helping.
Plans for a New Beginning
In February 2015, good news arrived for the Hacienda Hotel. The City of New Port Richey made a deal with a person named Abraham Rosner. They signed a "lease-to-buy" agreement.
This agreement meant that Mr. Rosner would lease the hotel first. His plan was to turn it into a modern "boutique hotel." A boutique hotel is usually smaller and offers a unique, stylish experience for guests. This project aimed to bring the historic Hacienda Hotel back to life.
