About Hans-André Stamm
Hans-André Stamm was born in Leverkusen, Germany, in 1958. When he was just 7 years old, he started learning to play the piano and the pipe organ. His teacher was Paul Wißkirchen, who was the organist at the Cathedral of Altenberg.
By the time he was 11, Hans-André was already a very skilled organ player. He began traveling around Europe to perform. He even recorded his first music track when he was only 13 years old!
From 1973 to 1976, he continued his organ studies at the Conservatoire Royal de Musique in Liège. Later, he studied church music and piano teaching at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule Düsseldorf.
Hans-André Stamm is well-known for how he plays the music of the famous composer Bach. In the year 2000, he recorded two DVDs of Bach's organ works on the famous Trost organ. These recordings became very popular. Today, he lives in Leverkusen and works as a freelance organ player and composer.
