Harju is a small village located in the northwestern part of Estonia. It is found in Hiiumaa Parish, which is part of Hiiu County.
Village History
Harju village has a long history! It was first written about way back in 1565. At that time, it was known as Harie by. For many years, the village was part of a larger estate called Vaemla Manor. This manor was known as Waimel in German.
