Her Art Career
Harriet Wilcox started working at Rookwood Pottery Company in 1886. She worked there for many years, almost until the 1930s. Rookwood Pottery was a very famous company known for its artistic pottery.
Harriet's artwork was shown in important museums around the world. These included the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Her unique signature can be found on the pottery pieces she decorated.
Harriet Wilcox never married. She lived with her mother, Zilpha, and her sisters, Grace and Louise. She was always listed as an artist in city records.
Later Life
Harriet Wilcox passed away on May 17, 1943. She was buried at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.
