On July 6, 1704, Harry Grey married Dorothy Wright. She was the daughter of Nathan Wright, who was a judge. Harry and Dorothy had seven children together:

  • Lady Dorothy Grey (born September 15, 1706 – died July 19, 1781)
  • Lady Catherine Grey (born November 11, 1711 – died April 11, 1748). She studied in a city called Leiden. Later, she married John William Trip in March 1736. After he passed away, she married Gillis van den Bempden in January 1740. He was an important city leader in Amsterdam.
  • Harry Grey, 4th Earl of Stamford (born 1715 – died 1768)
  • Lady Diana Grey (born 1717 – died January 14, 1780). She married George Middleton on September 7, 1736.

  • Hon. John Grey (born 1724 – died February 25, 1777)

In 1709, Harry inherited a large property called Enville in Staffordshire from a distant relative. Later, in 1720, he became the Earl of Stamford after his first cousin, Thomas Grey, 2nd Earl of Stamford, passed away. This meant he also inherited the Grey family lands at Bradgate Park in Leicestershire.

Harry Grey decided to live at Enville Hall. Because of this, the house at Bradgate Park was not kept up and slowly fell apart. When Harry Grey passed away, his oldest son, Henry Grey, became the next Earl of Stamford.
