Harvester, Missouri facts for kids
Harvester is a small place in St. Charles County, Missouri, in the state of Missouri, U.S.A.. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does. Instead, it's managed by the county. Over time, a lot of the area that was once Harvester has become part of the nearby city of St. Peters.
A Look Back: Harvester's History
Harvester got its name because of the many wheat fields that used to be around the area. Farmers would harvest (gather) their crops there. A post office was opened in Harvester in 1881. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages. It stayed open for about 20 years, closing down in 1901.
