Heinrich "Heinz" Baas (born April 13, 1922 – died December 6, 1994) was a German football player. He later became a successful football manager. He is remembered for his time playing as a midfielder and for coaching several well-known German clubs.

His Playing Career
Heinz Baas started his football journey in 1945. His first team was Duisburger SV. He played there for about a year. After that, he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1946. He stayed with Eintracht Frankfurt for three years.
From 1949 to 1953, Heinz played for Kickers Offenbach. This was one of his longer playing periods. He finished his playing career at SV Darmstadt 98. He played there during the 1953–1954 season.
Becoming a Manager
After he stopped playing, Heinz Baas began a new career as a football manager. He coached many different teams. His first managing job listed was with 1. FSV Mainz 05. He was their manager from 1959 to 1966.
He then moved to FSV Frankfurt, managing them from 1966 to 1968. Later, he coached KSV Hessen Kassel twice. His first time there was from 1969 to 1971. He returned to KSV Hessen Kassel from 1973 to 1974.
Other teams Heinz Baas managed include Karlsruher SC (1971–1973) and SV Wiesbaden (1974–1975). Towards the end of his career, he managed SC Freiburg from 1978 to 1979. He also coached SV Sandhausen from 1979 to 1980. He was known for leading teams in various German football leagues.
