The Helena Symphony Orchestra (HSO) is a fantastic group of musicians from Helena, Montana, in the United States. An orchestra is a large group of musicians who play different instruments together. The Helena Symphony has been performing amazing music since it was started in 1955.
Most of their concerts happen at the beautiful Helena Civic Center. In the summer, they play at Carroll College. They even put on a special free concert called the Summer Symphony for thousands of people to enjoy! The person who leads all the musicians as the music director is Allan R. Scott.

When Does the Symphony Play?
The Helena Symphony and its choir, called the Chorale, usually perform about ten concerts each year. Their concert season runs from September all the way to May. This means there are lots of chances to hear them play!
Special Holiday Shows
During the year, some concerts are extra special. Around Christmas, they have holiday performances. One of these is often held at the grand Cathedral of St. Helena. They also perform The Nutcracker ballet twice with the Queen City Ballet. This popular show takes place at the Helena Civic Center.
