Helene von Mülinen (born November 27, 1850 – died March 11, 1924) was a very important Swiss woman. She is known as the person who started the organized movement for women's suffrage in Switzerland. This movement worked to get women the right to vote. Helene von Mülinen founded the Bund Schweizerischer Frauenvereine (BSF) in 1900. This group was a federation of Swiss women's associations. She was also its first president from 1900 to 1904.

Even though her parents did not let her get a formal degree in theology, Helene still attended classes at the University of Bern. Helene's Work for Women's Rights

In 1890, Helene von Mülinen was in the hospital for treatment. There, she met Emma Pieczynska-Reichenbach, who was studying medicine. They became close friends and worked together for the rest of their lives. They both cared deeply about improving women's lives.

Helene played a big part in creating the Bund Schweizerischer Frauenvereine (Federation of Swiss Women's Associations). This group brought together many different women's organizations. She was the president of this important group from 1900 to 1904. Helene also stayed on the board of the BSF until 1920. This shows how dedicated she was to the cause.
