Helping Henry facts for kids
Helping Henry was a fun and educational British children's TV show. It aired on Channel 4 in 1988. The show had one series with thirteen episodes, each lasting 15 minutes. It taught kids how different things work.
What Was Helping Henry About?
The show featured a young boy named Stephen. He helped an alien understand Earth. The alien was called N-3, but Stephen nicknamed him "Henry." Henry was disguised as a dining-room chair! This was because his bosses believed chairs were a superior species. They thought chairs were better than the "two legs" (humans) who moved around them.
Who Created the Show?
"Henry" the chair was a special puppet. He was designed and built by Fluck and Law. This team is famous for creating the puppets for the popular show Spitting Image. The voice of "Henry" was provided by Jeremy Hardy.
The series was created and written by Chips Hardy and John Henderson. Peter Algate was also one of the writers for the show.
