Henry Ephron (born May 26, 1911 – died September 6, 1992) was an American writer and film producer. He wrote many plays and movie scripts. He often worked with his first wife, Phoebe. He was active in writing from the early 1940s to the early 1960s.
Henry Ephron's Early Life
Henry Ephron was born in the Bronx, New York. His parents, Gussie and Isaac Ephron, were Jewish immigrants. They came from places that are now part of Belarus. Isaac was a retailer, which means he owned a shop.
Henry and his first wife, Phoebe, had four daughters. All of them became famous writers too! Their names are Nora Ephron, Delia Ephron, Hallie Ephron, and Amy Ephron.
Later in life, Henry married June Gale in 1978. She was also one of four sisters. Henry Ephron passed away in 1992. He died in Los Angeles due to natural causes.
