Hideki Katsura (桂 秀樹, Katsura Hideki, born March 6, 1970) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a midfielder for several teams during his career.

Hideki Katsura's Football Journey
Hideki Katsura was born in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, on March 6, 1970. After finishing his studies at Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences, he began his professional football career.
Starting with Yokohama Flügels
In 1992, Hideki Katsura joined the team Yokohama Flügels. He quickly became an important player for them. From 1993, he played in many matches as a midfielder. He helped his team win the Emperor's Cup in 1993, which is a big football tournament in Japan. However, after 1995, he played less often for the team.
Moving to Kawasaki Frontale
In 1997, Hideki Katsura moved to Kawasaki Frontale. This team was part of the Japan Football League at the time. He played a lot of games for Kawasaki Frontale. His efforts helped the team get promoted to the J2 League in 1999. The next year, in 2000, they even moved up to the top league, the J1 League.
Later Career and Retirement
After 2000, Hideki Katsura found it harder to get playing time in the J1 League. In 2002, he decided to move to another team, Sagawa Express Tokyo SC, which was also in the Japan Football League. He played there for a couple of seasons. Hideki Katsura retired from professional football at the end of the 2003 season. Throughout his career, he played a total of 124 league games and scored 8 goals.
