Hideo Yoshizawa (born September 2, 1960) is a Japanese video game creator. He is famous for his work as a director, writer, and producer on popular video game series like Ninja Gaiden and Klonoa.
Before joining Namco (now Bandai Namco), Hideo Yoshizawa worked at a company called Tecmo. There, he helped create the first three Ninja Gaiden games for the Nintendo Entertainment System. He used the name "Sakurazaki" during that time.
In April 2016, Yoshizawa left Bandai Namco Studios. He now works independently, which means he takes on projects for different companies. In 2017, it was announced that he would be an executive producer for an animated movie based on the Klonoa games.
Hideo Yoshizawa also teaches at Tokyo Polytechnic University as a professor.
