Himeros is a god from ancient Greek myths. He is known as the god of desire that isn't returned, also called "unrequited love." Himeros is part of a group of gods called the Erotes, who are connected to love and desire.
Who is Himeros?
Himeros is often shown as a young man or even a child. He usually carries a bow and arrow, much like his brother Eros. His special power was to create strong feelings of desire and passion in people.
Himeros's Family
Himeros has famous parents and many siblings.
- His parents are Ares, the god of war, and Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty.
- He is the twin brother of Eros, another well-known god of love.
- Himeros also has several other brothers and sisters. These include Pothos, Anteros, Hermaphroditus, Hedylogos, Phobos, Deimos, and Harmonia.
