Hirokazu Ota was born in Kyoto, Japan, on April 10, 1971. After finishing his studies at Doshisha University, he began his professional football career.
Early Career with Bellmare Hiratsuka
In 1994, Ota joined a team called Bellmare Hiratsuka. He played as a forward, which is a player whose main job is to score goals. During the 1995 season, he played in two matches for the team.
Playing in Different Leagues
In 1996, Ota moved to play for Cosmo Oil Yokkaichi. This team was part of the Japan Football League, often called JFL. The JFL was a high level of football in Japan at that time. Later in 1996, he also played for Blaze Kumamoto, a team in the Japanese Regional Leagues. These leagues are a step below the national leagues.
Success with Albirex Niigata
In 1997, Hirokazu Ota joined Albirex Niigata. This team was also in the Regional Leagues. He became a regular player for Albirex Niigata, meaning he played in most of their games. His strong performance helped the team achieve a big goal: they were promoted to the JFL starting in 1998. This was an exciting time for the club and for Ota.
