The first generation of the Holden Monaro included several models. These were known as the HK, HT, and HG. These cars were not just popular in Australia. They were also sold in South Africa under a different name, the Chevrolet SS.
Second Generation Monaro (1971-1977)
The second group of Monaro models included the HQ, HJ, HX, and HZ GTS. These cars continued the Monaro's reputation for style and power. There was even a special HX Limited Edition model.
