Holt railway station is a special train station in Norfolk, England. It opened in 1987 and is the very end of the line for the North Norfolk Railway. This railway is also known as the "Poppy Line."
The station building itself has an interesting history. It used to be part of Stalham railway station. Workers carefully moved it and put it back together at Holt. This new station is about a mile away from where the original Holt station once stood. The first Holt station closed in 1964.

Discover the William Marriott Museum
The ===What You'll See at the Museum=== The William Marriott Museum is a cool place to visit. It is located in the old goods shed right at Holt station. This museum is run by a group called the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway Society.
Inside, you can find many interesting items from railway history. There are old tools, signs, and other things that tell the story of trains. You can also see historic buildings, old train engines (locomotives), and different types of train cars (rolling stock). The museum even has an old system for railway signals. It is open on days when the North Norfolk Railway is running trains.
The Miniature Railway's Journey
For about 16 years, Holt station had its own miniature railway. This tiny train line was operated by the North Norfolk Model Railway Club. It was a fun attraction for visitors.
In 2019, the miniature railway had to close. This happened because there were plans to build new things on the land it used. But don't worry, the story has a happy ending! In 2020, the miniature railway was rebuilt. It found a new home at County School railway station on the nearby Mid-Norfolk Railway.
Where is Holt Station?
The station is located about a mile away from the main town centre of Holt. It is easy to get to, and there is a large car park available for visitors.
