Hooks Well Meadows, Great Cressingham is a very special place for nature in Norfolk, England. It's officially known as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) because of its amazing plants and habitats. This area covers about 15.6 hectares, which is roughly the size of 38 football fields! It was given this important protection status in 1991.

A Home for Diverse Nature

No Public Access

Even though Hooks Well Meadows is a wonderful natural area, it is not open to the public. This site is used by the Ministry of Defence as a training area. Because of its use for training, visitors are not allowed to enter for safety reasons and to protect the delicate habitats from disturbance.
