Horst is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. As of December 31, 2018, about 5,709 people lived there. It is located about 14 kilometers (about 9 miles) southeast of Itzehoe and 7 kilometers (about 4 miles) northwest of Elmshorn.
