The Story of Hounded
Jay's Scholarship Dream
The movie is about a 13-year-old boy named Jay Martin. He really wants to win a scholarship to a fancy school. His main rival for the scholarship is Ronny Van Dusen, who is also a bully.
Ronny's dad, Ward Van Dusen, is the headmaster of Jay's current school. Ward takes Jay's project because it has funny drawings of him as a wolf. Ward leaves Jay's project in his office. Ronny sees it, copies it, and then uses it to win the scholarship!
The Stolen Project and a Doggy Disaster
Jay tells Ward what happened. Ward says he will look into it. But Jay later hears Ward telling Ronny to hide all proof of cheating. This makes Jay very upset.
To get his project back, Jay sneaks into Ronny's pool house. The Van Dusen family is away at the award ceremony. While Jay is there, Eliza Van Dusen's show dog, Camille, finds him. Camille follows Jay home.
At Jay's house, Camille goes wild because she needs her medication. She makes a huge mess! Jay tries to calm her down for hours.
Mike's Return and a Big Problem
Jay's older brother, Mike, comes home from military school. Their mom is away helping an injured aunt. Mike finds the house a disaster and Camille having a nervous breakdown.
Jay tells Mike everything about the stolen project and the dog. The brothers try to figure out how to get Camille back home. Ward calls Mike and pretends he knows nothing about Ronny cheating.
Ward's father-in-law, Armand Columbus, visits him. Armand used to be the school's headmaster. He orders Ward to get his daughter's dog back. Ward agrees to many things just to get Camille home and Armand off his back.
The Plan to Catch a Cheater
Ward finally calls the police. He asks them to listen in on the calls he gets from the boys. Jay and Mike use a voice changer to disguise their voices.
The brothers come up with a clever plan. They decide to make it look like Ronny is responsible for Camille's disappearance. Their plan works perfectly!
The Van Dusens and the police find Camille in Ronny's pool house. They also find the voice changer the boys used. Armand realizes that Ward's bad behavior has rubbed off on Ronny. He says, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."
A Happy Ending for Jay
In the end, Armand Columbus takes back his old job as headmaster. Ward is demoted to a secretary.
Jay finally gets the scholarship because the competition is reopened. Camille is going to have puppies, and Eliza offers one to Jay! Ronny is sent to military school. He is surprised to find that his instructor there is Mike!
