Hugo Clément (born in 1989 in Strasbourg, France) is a French journalist, author, and documentary filmmaker. He is well-known for his investigative reporting. He also works hard to make people in France more aware of environmental problems.

Early Life and Education

Hugo Clément was born on October 7, 1989, in Strasbourg, France. His family later moved to a town near Toulouse. Both of his parents were university professors.

He went to high school in Toulouse. After that, he studied at Sciences-Po Toulouse starting in 2008. While he was a student, he worked as a freelance reporter. He wrote for local newspapers like La Dépêche du Midi and 20 minutes. In 2009, he won the François Chalais Prize for young reporters. This award recognized his promising work. In 2010, he joined the Lille School of Journalism. He graduated in 2012.

Journalism Career

After finishing journalism school, Hugo Clément started working for the French TV channel France 2. He became known for his reporting on big events. For example, he covered a fire at the Maison de la Radio in 2014. In 2015, he reported on the search for those involved in the Charlie Hebdo attack. He also covered the april 2015 Nepal earthquake and a train crash in Brétigny-sur-Orge.

Later in 2015, Clément moved to another TV show called Le Petit Journal. In 2016, he joined the team of Quotidien on TMC and TF1. He worked there until 2017. After that, he joined Konbini, a pop-culture publisher, to focus on political news through videos. He returned to France 2 in 2019.

In December 2018, Hugo Clément worked with the L214 association. They made a video that showed what happens to racehorses after their racing careers end. This video helped to raise awareness about animal welfare.
