Ibrahim Obyala Touré (born September 27, 1985 – died June 19, 2014) was a professional footballer from Ivory Coast. He played as a striker, which means he was a player whose main job was to score goals. Ibrahim was well-known for being the younger brother of two very famous footballers: Yaya Touré, who played for Manchester City, and Kolo Touré, who played for Arsenal and also Manchester City.

Ibrahim Touré started his professional football journey in 2003 with a team called Metalurh Donetsk in Ukraine. Later, he moved to France to play for Nice. He also played for several other clubs, including Al-Ittihad Aleppo in Syria, Makasa in Egypt, and Al-Safa in Lebanon. Sadly, Ibrahim passed away on June 19, 2014, in Manchester, England, after a short illness. He was 28 years old.

Ibrahim Touré began his youth career at Mimosas in his home country, Ivory Coast, in 2002. This is where many young Ivorian talents start their training.

Playing in Europe

  • In 2003, Ibrahim moved to Europe and joined Metalurh Donetsk in Ukraine. He stayed there for three years.
  • After that, he moved to France and played for Nice from 2006 to 2007.

Adventures in the Middle East

  • Ibrahim then played for Al-Ittihad Aleppo in Syria between 2009 and 2010.
  • From 2010 to 2013, he played for Makasa in Egypt. During this time, he also had a short loan spell at Telephonat in 2012.
  • His last club was Al-Safa in Lebanon, where he played from 2013 until 2014.

Family and Legacy

Ibrahim Touré came from a very talented football family. His older brothers, Yaya and Kolo Touré, are famous worldwide for their successful careers in top European leagues. Yaya Touré was a powerful midfielder, and Kolo Touré was a strong defender. All three brothers played for the Ivory Coast national team at different times.

Ibrahim Touré passed away on June 19, 2014. The Football Association of Ivory Coast shared the sad news, confirming that he died in Manchester, England. His passing was a great loss to his family and the football community.
