What Happens in Ice Claw?
The story begins with Max Gordon taking part in a super exciting X-Treme sports challenge. During this event, he sees something shocking. A mysterious monk from the Basque region falls to his death. Before he falls, the monk shouts a strange clue. This clue is a secret message about a future disaster.
The message warns of a huge environmental problem. This problem could harm many people across Europe. Max is then wrongly blamed for the monk's death. He and his best friend, Sayid, decide to follow the clues. They uncover a dangerous plot with many twists. They find out about betrayals and scary situations at every turn.
Their adventure leads them to the person behind it all. This person is an extremely rich man named Tishenko. He is a bit crazy and has a very dangerous plan.

Max Gordon: The Eco Hero
Max Gordon is the main character of the story. He was also the hero in the first book of the series. The story is mostly told from his point of view. You get to see everything through his eyes. Max is brave and always ready for an adventure.
Sophie Fauvre: The Brave Friend
Sophie Fauvre is a smart and strong young woman. Max meets her during his adventure and they become close. She plays a very important role in helping Max solve the mystery. She is a lot like Keelie van Reenen from the first book.
Tishenko: The Mad Billionaire
Tishenko is the main villain in Ice Claw. He is a very rich billionaire with a terrible plan. He wants to cause a huge environmental disaster. He is an outcast because he has a noticeable physical difference. His role in the story is similar to Shaka Chang from the first book.
