Igor Escudero
Igor Escudero Morais, born in Leon in 1977, is a talented Spanish musician. He is well-known for writing classical music and opera. Opera is like a play where the story is told mostly through singing, often with an orchestra.
Igor has created many musical works. He has written eleven operas, including a special series based on the book "I, Claudius". This series was first performed with the Castile and León Symphony Orchestra. He has also composed three musicals, like "The Fall of the House of Usher", which can also be seen as a smaller, more personal opera. His works also include three oratorios, which are large musical pieces for voices and orchestra, often telling a story. Some of his oratorios are "The mountain of souls" and "The glass Cathedral".
Besides these, Igor has written music for concerts, documentaries, and short films. He has also composed sacred and non-religious music for choirs, and many pieces for smaller groups of instruments.
