Description: This is the centrepiece of the north-east terrace. The four terraces were designed by George Basevi with each being subtly different - No. 43 has an engaged portico of six fluted Corinthian columns. Grade I listed. It now houses the Turkish Embassy. The square was laid out from around 1826. Unusually, detached mansions were designed by separate architects for three of the corners.
