Description: The March/April 1941 cover of the Reine Luft, a prominent journal for the anti-smoking campaign in Nazi Germany. It used a crustacean, which is pronounced the same as cancer in German; both are pronounced as Krebs. The journal also depicted the devil singing "so appetitlich frisch (ca. so deliciously fresh) as "Propaganda". Translation: "Knight against Death and Devil" (Ritter gegen Tod und Teufel) "Tobacco and Cancer" (Tabak und Krebs) "Dürer's famous engraving "Knight, Death, and Devil" hails the hero, who - while always facing death - is life-affirming and leads the spirit inside of himself into the fight against a world full of devils"
