Description: Detail of relief from the west side of the Ara Pacis in Rome. Four flamines wearing on their heads galerus and apex. According to Ryberg, these are the three flamines Maiores and the flamen Divi Iulii (Inez Scott Ryberg: Rites of the State Religion in Roman Art. Memoirs of the American Academy in Rome, Bd. 22, American Academy in Rome 1955, p. 44f). Perspective has been corrected.
