Description: Booth of Gremista, Lerwick The building is a museum, as it was the birthplace of Arthur Anderson (1791-1868), one of the founders of the P&O shipping company. P&O's long association with Shetland ended in 2002 when the contact for the Orkney-Shetland the ferry service was lost to Northlink. Arthur Anderson's association lives in the name of the main high school in Shetland - gifted by Arthur Anderson, the original Anderson Institute opened in 1862, although it is currently known as Anderson High School. The name is often spelt Böd of Gremista, using local Shetland pronunciation.
