The Browns Bay Wharf, with the Northern Steamship Taniwha alongside, can be seen in middle distance. Historical note: Steamer Taniwha, Vessel ID 102302, owned by Northern Steam Ship Company Limited.1898 built for Northern Steam Ship Company Limited and used mainly on the Paeroa service. 1912 August 11th struck snag and sank in Waihou River.
