Image: Cagar Alam Rawa Danau Caldera
Description: Elevation data from DEMNAS. Dark red color means >=300 m asl. The Rawa Danau is located in the caldera of the Danau volcanic complex. The Danau volcanic complex is of Plio-Pleistocene age and formed in a number of eruptive phases, culminating in the eruption of the voluminous Banten pumice tuffs (also known as 'Bantam' tuffs) and formation of the large caldera. Andesitic lava and volcaniclastics form the steep northeastern rim of the caldera. To the south occur volcanic footslopes and alluvial fans of younger volcanic cones (notably the active Mt. Karang).
