Description: This is a copy of a portrait of Caroline of Ansbach made by Sir Godfrey Kneller in 1716, now at Buckingham Palace. Caroline wear robes of state and rests her hand on her crown as Princess of Wales. She would become Queen in 1727 on the death of her father-in-law, George I.
