Description: The Fisher Memorial Home was built in 1927 and is located at 300 E. 8th St.The combination house/funeral home was built in 1927. Harry L. Fisher and his wife Mary established a mortuary business in Casa Grande after their arrival in 1919. After Harry's death in 1925, Mary married William Plenz, and the two opened the Fisher Memorial Home in its present location. Mary Plenz was a notable businesswoman in Casa Grande for many years. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, reference #85000884.
