Description: The Colgate Clock located south of the Goldman Sachs Tower (30 Hudson Street) in Jersey City, New Jersey, was built in 1924, replacing an earlier clock. The site, now an empty lot, is near the location of the former headquarters of Colgate-Palmolive, which left the area in 1985. When the Goldman Sachs Tower was built, it forced the clock to be moved 100 meters south of its original location, and regulations then required reducing the size of the Colgate logo to comply with the Hudson River No Billboard law. The clock is maintained by Goldman Sachs.
