Description: Historical marker honoring George Vancouver's travels in 1792, in Deception Pass State Park near Puget Sound, Washington state. George Vancouver gave it the name "Deception Pass" because it had misled him into thinking Whidbey Island was a peninsula. Taken on August 8th, 2010.
