Description: Destruction of U-boat by British Destroyers Hesperus and Vanessa. While Forming Part of a Homeward-bound Convoy Escort the Destroyers Rammed and Sank a German U-boat. the Enemy Was First Sighted and Rammed by HMS Vanessa. Though Badly Damaged It Tried To Escape in Failing Light But Was Overhauled and Finished Off by HMS Hesperus Which Rammed It For the Second Time, Broke It in Two and Sank It.
