Description: Plaster cast of a chariot race created and photographed in Italy in 1917 by Dora Ohlfsen (1869–1948), the Australian artist. The chariot race was supposed to be made in bronze for the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Australia, but there was a dispute about costs, so the work was never completed. This is one of a series of four photographs of it that Ohlfsen took, and they were not (I believe) published in her lifetime.
