Description: Downing Street, Home of PM Gordon Brown This is as far into the top-left hand corner of the square you can go without special permission. This is the entrance into the famous Downing Street, where Prime Minister Gordon Brown lives at number 10, from Whitehall Gardens. As you can see, it is extremely well protected against security threats, not only by the railings and two police officers in the foreground but also a road barrier in the background. Apologies if the primary geographical category of this image is wrong - please correct me if there is a more appropriate one I can use.
