Description: Present day map of the Tuscany region in Italy indicating the estimated location of Caprona, a fictional italian city-state which is featured prominently on Diana Wynne Jones' book "The Magicians of Caprona". This map is not precise, since Caprona is only supposed to border the city-states of Pisa, Firenze and Siena, yet still have a coastline. In the book universe, the city-states of Grosseto and Livorno were likely still part of the neighboring states.
