Description: "Fair Oaks," the William D. Washburn residence in Minneapolis, MN. Designed by E. Townsend Mix in Gothic Revival style and constructed of salmon-colored Kasota stone in 1883 at a total cost of $250,000, it was surrounded by a 10-acre park designed by Frederick Law Olmstead. It was razed in 1924.
